Lease, rent questions.?

I have been renting this apartment for 11 months. Today was the last payment for our 12 month time period. For the whole time we have been here, we have asked to sign the lease. The manager said she would get it to us multiple times, and has failed to do so every time. We walked to the office to sign, and she would it would be in our mailbox. Never was. Here we are, on the 12th month, and rent is about to raise $50 a month (600 extra a yr), and we are looking for another place. She told us we have to sign the lease now, for the last month of us living here because our apartment is on the market. What should we do? Is there anything that we should be cautious about? Thank you.

Answer:
I would say keep looking for your own place and don’t sign anything if you are in your last month. If she needs you to sign it so bad, why didn’t she bring it to you 11 months ago.
