First thing you must do is to recognize the type of windows that you have in your house.  I tell all my prospective clients of my San Diego window replacement service to check their windows.I want them to find out if their windows are single paned or double paned.If they are single paned then you are wasting a lot of money on energy savings so you must replace them immediately.

So how can single paned windows cost you money?That is because single paned windows are not enrgy efficient.During hot season they retain heat inside the house so you would need more air conditioning.And during the winter season no heat would be retained in the house so you would have to use more heater.So during the two seasons you would be using more enrgy leading to more energy costs.  The customers of my glass company San Diego are shocked to find this out but it is true.That would be the reason why it would be more efficient if you install energy efficient windows .

Strange as it may seem but this is true and it can also be the case with your bathrooms.You may save more on energy costs if you have a glass shower.  That is shocking to my clients of my San Diego frameless glass shower doors service as well.  But with glass showers it is a little more energy efficient.

So there goes some reasons as to why old windows may waste more money on energy than those new ones.  If you do have single paned windows you need to have them replaced as soon as possible.It will give you more savings in the long run.
